PURPOSE: A pre-plating process for aluminized stainless steel sheets suitable for use in exhaust manifold of automobiles or suitable for use under corrosive atmosphere is provided, which is characterized in that Fe-C layer is formed on stainless steel sheet to improve wettability before aluminum melt is applied. CONSTITUTION: The method includes the steps of forming a plated layer consisting of C 0.0005 to 0.3 wt.% and a balance of Fe in the thickness of 0.1 to 2 g/m¬2 on a steel sheet containing at least one element selected from Cr less than 30 wt.% and Si 0.3 to 5.0 wt.%; applying aluminum melt on the Fe-C plated layer, wherein the thickness of the plated layer satisfies below inequality: t=0.07Cr(wt.%)-0.07.
