PURPOSE: A laser welding process measuring apparatus and a measuring method by using the same are provided to effectively manage welding quality by utilizing an organic plasma signs generated when processing metal. CONSTITUTION: A laser welding process measuring apparatus includes a welding head(200) installed at the very upper portion of a welding part of a welding stuff. A reflection mirror(202) is installed in a cavity formed in the welding head(200) in order to convert a light path of plasma optical signals(203). A first optical measuring sensor(307) is provided at one side of the welding head(200) so as to receive and analyzes the reflected plasma optical signal(203). A second optical measuring sensor and an amplifier are installed at a side of the welding part.
