PURPOSE: A method for treating dyeing wastewater by electrochemical oxidation-reduction reaction and a reactor therefor are provided, which treat dyeing wastewater by a small amount of electric power without using any chemical coagulant, so that only a small amount of sludge is generated. CONSTITUTION: The reactor comprises a main body(10) to which an influent line(15) for dyeing wastewater inflow, a sludge discharge line for settled sludge discharge and an effluent line(16) for treated dyeing wastewater effluent are formed; a cathode(13) and anode(14) equipped in the main body(10) and made of an alloy containing 5 to 30 wt.% of metal selected from the group consisting of 70 to 95 wt.% of Fe, Ti, Ni, and Al; and a power supply device(11) for supplying power to the cathode(13) and the anode(14).
