Tube friction measurement apparatus for tube hydroforming and its measurement method

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for measuring a frictional characteristic of a surface of tube stuff are provided to precisely measure the frictional characteristic between a mold and a tube by measuring the frictional characteristic under the condition identical to a tube hydroforming process. CONSTITUTION: A frictional characteristic measuring apparatus includes upper and lower molds(31,32), a press(10) for pressing the upper and lower molds(31,32) positioned between upper and lower dies(11,12) of the press(10), a tube(3) positioned between the upper and lower molds(31,32), a first hydraulic system(22) for feeding the tube(3), and load cells(41,42) installed around the upper and lower molds(31,32) so as to measure the load of the upper and lower molds(31,32). The upper die(11) is conveyed towards the lower die(12) by means of a second hydraulic system(21). Both ends of the tube(3) are sealed with a sealing members(60).
