PURPOSE: A method for accurately predicting transformation initiation temperature of plate that is air cooled or water cooled continuously after being rolled and microscopic structure of the plate after transformation is provided. CONSTITUTION: In a method for predicting transformation initiation temperature during cooling of plate and microscopic structure of the plate after cooling, the method comprises a step of predicting transformation initiation temperature from the microscopic structure of the plate before transformation; a step of predicting volume fraction of ferrite of the plate after cooling; a step of obtaining volume fraction of each phase and average transformation temperature after obtaining transformation curve through the transformation initiation temperature, volume fraction of ferrite, and transformation speed constant; and a step of predicting grain size of ferrite using the above values.
