PURPOSE: A home network device, a home network control device, a description file reconfiguration system in a home network, and a method therefor are provided to reconfigure a description file which indicates service information of the home network device, as a description file having only service information for which a user wishes. CONSTITUTION: An interface unit(45) monitors whether a request message, for requesting the reconfiguration of a description file, is received from a UPnP(Universal Plug and Play) control device. A description parser unit(46) parses the request message, and extracts service items selected by a user. A description configuration module(47) reconfigures the description file to have the extracted service items. A microcomputer(49) controls the interface unit(45), the description parser unit(46), and the description configuration module(47).
