Device for managing fault of customer network management service in multi-domain data networks and method thereof

PURPOSE: An integrated failure processing apparatus and method of a client network management service in an information super-highway are provided to guarantee a stable providing of a client network management service and a smooth network management by integrally managing failures on an operation facility and multi-layer management items. CONSTITUTION: It is discriminated whether a failure reported by a network management system corresponds to a resource for a client network management service(S801). If the failure corresponds to the resource for the client network management service, it is checked whether a failure filtering function module is being driven(S803). If the failure filtering function is being driven, it is checked whether the corresponding failure is on a list of a temporary failure processing table(S805). If the corresponding failure is not on the list of the temporary failure processing table, it is added as a failure item to the temporary failure processing table(S807). A table processor checks whether a filtering has been completed on items of the list of the temporary failure processing table(S808). Filtering-completed items are stored by ports and virtual connections in a failure log table and deleted from the temporary failure processing table, and then, the failure particulars are transferred to a notification processing module in order to inform an operator or a user about it according to a notification type(S809).
