PURPOSE: A method is provided to achieve improved engine performance by controlling the engine in a real time basis using a combustion pressure, while reducing costs for hardware and controller by reducing the A/D converting cycle and load of data. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises the first step(110) of measuring a plurality of combustion pressure positions at a constant spacing of a crank angle from the top dead center in a gasoline engine; the second step(120) of learning a neural network which uses, as an input, the data obtained from the measurement of the first step and uses, as an output, the peak pressure and location of peak pressure in a combustion chamber of gasoline engine; and the third step(130) of estimating the peak pressure and location of peak pressure in a real time basis in the gasoline engine.
