PRESTRESSED CONCRETE U-SHAPED BEAM BY PRE-TENSION

摘要

PURPOSE: The prestressed concrete U-shaped beam by pre-tension is provided to adjust the crossing slope during placing concrete for bridge floor slabs and reduce concrete weight by an empty space, moreover to simplify erection without steel supports. CONSTITUTION: The process of building a prestressed concrete U-shaped beam is composed of: putting a U-shaped beam on piers and filling the beam with mortar; cutting Styrofoam to occupy some work space for a jack, the Styrofoam is recycled during concrete placing for a floor slab; inserting steel wires into a sheath pipe and stressing the wires; filling shrinkage compensating mortar with the sheath pipe for finishing. The U-shaped beam changes into a box-shape structure later, so that the structure gets a great amount of resistance against torsion and deflection.
