HIGH PERFORMANCE ION EXCHANGE FIBER BASED ON PAN AND ITS SYNTHESIS METHOD

PURPOSE: An ion exchange fiber is characterized by being graft copolymer type and having many ion exchange functional groups. Therefore, the ion exchange fiber has excellent ion adsorptivity. The ion exchange fiber is useful for an atmospheric clarifier for air-conditioning of a building and removing ionic dust, a clarifier for treating water, a separating unit and a recovering device of various heavy metals, a module of an electric dialyzer and an air clarifying filter. CONSTITUTION: The PAN type ion exchange fiber is obtained by the steps of: preparing PAN fiber or fiber structure material; reacting in liquid amine compound having alkyl group; and then drying the fiber. The liquid amine compound contains a catalyst of metallic chloride.
