PURPOSE: A charcoal canister is provided to reduce environmental contamination by reducing an emission of noxious materials, while reducing costs. CONSTITUTION: A charcoal canister comprises a main body(10) filled with charcoals(12,12a), receiving an evaporative gas from a fuel tank, and removing noxious materials from the evaporative gas. The charcoals filling the main body of the charcoal canister are sectioned by an air layer(13) in such a manner that the charcoal having a larger hardness charges the atmospheric side for discharging gases to the atmosphere. The air layer includes a pair of air plates(14a,14b) having air holes, and the gap formed between the air plates is charged with air.
