PURPOSE: An electronic voting/counting method is provided to automate voting/counting with an RF electronic voting card and a central counting server. CONSTITUTION: The right of voting of a voter is checked in a voter managing PC(10). The voter receives an RF electronic voting card(20). The voter contacts to an RF electronic voting card reader and is authenticated, and a voting program is operated(25). Candidates are displayed on a touch screen of a voting terminal by on-line, and the voter selects and votes a candidate(30). A voting result is transmitted to an individual counting server and stored(35). The voting result is calculated by a vote counting program(40). The voting result is encoded using a public key(45). The encoded voting result is transmitted to a central counting server(50). The central counting server decodes the encoded voting result by a private key(55). A counting result by the vote counting program is encoded by a public key and transmitted to the central counting server by on-line. It is checked whether the encoded counting result is identical with the decoded counting result and the result is publicized(60).
