PURPOSE: A method for preparing a nanocomposite is provided, to allow a polymer to be infiltrated into the middle layer of clay more effectively by using a supercritical fluid and an ultrasonic wave. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of applying an ultrasonic wave of high strength to the mixture comprising stratiform clay and the polymer matrix polymerized by radical polymerization or polycondensation and injecting a supercritical fluid to the mixture; and melt mixing the mixture. Preferably the middle layer of the clay is the montmorillonite substituted with an alkyl ammonium ion or an alkyl phosphonium ion. Preferably the polymer matrix is any one selected from the group consisting of polypropylene, polyethylene, polystyrene, a copolymer of styrene and butadiene, poly(vinyl chloride), a copolymer of styrene and acrylonitrile, a copolymer of acrylonitrile, butadiene and styrene, polyethylene terephthalate, polybutylene terephthalate, polyamide and polycarbonate.
