PURPOSE: A method for transmitting and receiving a directory between mobile communication terminals, using a Bluetooth technique is provided to transmit a directory data packet selected by a user to the second terminal in the first terminal according to a selected directory transmission function through a set Bluetooth connection. CONSTITUTION: A user of the first terminal selects a Bluetooth communication function, for transmitting directory data stored in the first terminal to the second terminal(S1). A link control unit sets a Bluetooth connection with a Bluetooth module installed in the second terminal through a baseband processing unit according to a received HCI(Host Control Interface) command packet(S2). The link control unit discriminates whether the Bluetooth connection setup is completed(S3). If the Bluetooth connection setup is completed, the user of the first terminal selects a directory transmission function, for transmitting the directory data to the second terminal(S4). A control unit of the first terminal receives selected directory data among a plurality of directory data stored in a directory of a memory, or directly receives specific directory data from the user(S5). The control unit converts the received directory data into an HCI data packet, and transmits the HCI data packet together with the HCI command packet to the link control unit. The link control unit detects the directory data of the HCI data packet according to the received HCI command packet, converts the directory data into a Bluetooth packet, and transmits the Bluetooth packet by wireless(S6). If the directory data transmitted as the Bluetooth packet from the first terminal are received, the second terminal transmits a reception completion signal. The first terminal discriminates whether the transmission of the directory data is completed according as the reception completion signal transmitted from the second terminal is received(S7). If the reception completion signal is received, the first terminal releases the Bluetooth connection setup with the second terminal(S8).
