Incarnation method of IIR filter in FIR filter using linear programming

PURPOSE: A method for embodying an IIR(Infinite Impulse Response) filter in an FIR(Finite Impulse Filter), using an LP(Linear Programming) is provided to use the LP when embodying the IIR filter requested in a transmission unit of a base station. CONSTITUTION: A transfer characteristic of an IIR filter, which is requested in a standard of a transmission unit of a base station, is calculated(S101). The transfer characteristic of the IIR filter is transformed into a z-domain, using a bilinear transform(S103). A response of the z-domain and a frequency response in an actually embodied FIR filter are defined(S105). An error value of an ideal IIR filer and the actually embodied FIR filter is calculated(S107). The error value is transformed into an input type capable of being processed in an LP(S109). N taps of the FIR filter, for minimizing the error value, are calculated using the LP(S111).
