REMOTE MEMORY CONTROLLING METHOD FOR EMBEDDED SYSTEM USING PERSONAL COMPUTER

PURPOSE: A method for controlling a remote memory of an embedded system using a PC is provided to record or extract data by connecting a personal computer to an embedded system including a JTAG(Joint Test Action Group) port through a communication cable and controlling a memory of the embedded system in a remote place. CONSTITUTION: A trouble of a communication port of a personal computer is checked and an initialization is executed(S101). If a trouble of a communication port of a personal computer does not exist, a communication port of a target system is accessed(S103). If the communication port of a target system is accessed normally, a user inputs target system connection information for controlling a memory, and an initial environment is set(S105). After completing the set of the initial environment, a user inputs memory control command and data(S106). The command and data of the user are compiled into a machine language(S107), and the compiled command or data is output to the target system(S108). Output data of the target system in accordance with the command are received and displayed on the personal computer(S109).
