PURPOSE: A microorganism decomposing polyacrylic acid ester(PAE) and a water treatment method using the same microorganism are provided, thereby effectively and cheaply treating waste water without using agglutination and precipitation processes. CONSTITUTION: A microorganism Pseudomonas sp. A3(KCTC 10181BP) capable of decomposing polyacrylic acid ester(PAE) is provided, wherein Pseudomonas sp. A3(KCTC 10181BP) is isolated by collecting waste water and soil samples from the polluted environments; culturing the waste water and soil samples in PAE broth at 30 to 7 days; inoculating the cultured medium to PAE agar medium and culturing it at 30 deg. C to separate colonies having PAE decomposing activity; and inoculating colonies to PAE broth and culturing them to separate one stain showing the excellent PAE decomposing activity.
