PURPOSE: Provided is a fire retardant foam composition minimizing toxic gas and smoke density, which is friendly to environment and excellent in stability, fire retardancy, and mechanical properties, therefore, can be used for building materials, parts of cars, parts of railroads, sports articles, and etc. CONSTITUTION: The fire retardant foam composition is produced by mixing 0-100wt% of a nitrile rubber, a fire retardant agent, and a conventional additive at 110-130deg.C and then extruding, compressing, or injecting, wherein the fire retardant agent is 0-300wt% of Al(OH)3, 0-200wt% of Mg(OH)2, 0-30wt% of Sb2O3, 0-100wt% of P-FR(a phosphate), and 0-30wt% of yellow soil and the conventional additive is at least one selected from 0-5wt% of a vulcanizing agent, 0-5wt% of a crosslinking accelerator, 10-40wt% of a foaming agent, 0-5wt% of a foaming auxiliary, 0-20wt% of a stabilizer, 0-5wt% of a heat transfer accelerator, 0-10wt% of an external releasing agent, 0-10wt% of an internal releasing agent, 0-10wt% of an antiaging agent, and 0-20wt% of a filler.
