PURPOSE: Methods for preparing functional soju containing L. stenocephala are provided, thereby preparing functional soju having a decreased bitter taste and improved hangover-removing effect. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing functional soju containing L. stenocephala comprises the steps of: diluting alcohol with distilled water; adding 0.01 to 0.15g of germanium containing an L. stenocephala extract and 0.05 to 0.15g of additives into 1 liter of the diluted alcohol; and stationing and filtering the additive-containing alcohol, wherein the L. stenocephala extract is prepared by drying L. stenocephala, pulverizing the dried L. stenocephala, treating the pulverized L. stenocephala with ethanol, and extracting ethanol treated L. stenocephala with steam. Another method comprises the steps of: distilling and filtering the matured alcohol to prepare distilled alcohol; adding 0.01 to 0.15g of germanium containing an L. stenocephala extract and 0.05 to 0.15g of additives into 1 liter of the distilled alcohol; and maturing and purifying the additive-containing soju.
