Red Rice Tea Cordyceps Tea and Phellinus Linteus Tea and Preparation Process for the Same

PURPOSE: A method of preparing tea products by inoculating into a nutrient medium spawns of Monascus sp. Cordyceps militaris and/or Phellinus linteus, culturing the spawn therein and then processing the solid culture medium of mycelium thereof is provided. Thus obtained tea products have a good taste and flavor. CONSTITUTION: Spawns of Monascus sp. Cordyceps militaris and/or Phellinus linteus are inoculated into a nutrient medium containing grains selected from rice, oat, wheat, corn or barley, in particular unpolished rice and cultured therein for 50 to 60 days. The mycelium of Monascus sp. Cordyceps militaris and/or Phellinus linteus is treated by conventional methods to produce tea products. The tea products contains each of solid unpolished rice culture media of Monascus sp. Cordyceps militaris and/or Phellinus linteus.
