摘要
PURPOSE: Provided are an ICR line spontaneous mutant mouse which shows the abnormal behavior pattern due to the genetic mutation of the auditory organ system and a use thereof as an animal model for human deafness. CONSTITUTION: A group of mice which show the abnormal behavior are observed through the random farming and breeding procedure, and named as Cir. The mouse is characterized by moving, head tossing and circling in a fastener speed than a normal mouse. An anatomic study ascertains that Cir mouse has the genetic defect in the middle ear, cochlea, cochlea nerve and semicircular canal areas. Also, a breeding study ascertains that Cir mouse inherits the abnormal characters by the auto-chromosomal single recessive gene bond. So, the mutant Cir mouse generates the balance disorder and abnormal behavior by having the genetic defect in the auditory organ system.
