Method and Analysis Apparatus for Automatic Crack Recognition of Structure using Image Processing System

PURPOSE: A method and an analyzer for automatic crack recognition of a structure using an image processing system are provided to get objective data on crack, and to numerically quantize the data. CONSTITUTION: An analyzer includes a transporting unit such as a car; an image unit(1) transported by the transporting unit, having a lighting unit, acquiring data on the exterior of a structure to output as electric image signal; a transceiver(2) receiving and transmitting the image signal output from the image unit, and receiving and transmitting control signal for controlling a camera; an encoder(3) mounted on a wheel of the transporting unit, and converting information on position of the transporting unit into pulse signal to output; an image signal processing unit(4) counting signal output from the encoder to generate image of the structure by moving distance, and analyzing inputted image signal to detect status of crack; and a computer system(5) constructing a database of information on the cracks detected by the image processing unit, and displaying data.
