Mold flux containing Zr02 for continous casting medium carbon steel

PURPOSE: A mold flux containing zirconia for continuous casting of middle carbon steel is provided, which can vertical crack of steel sheet. CONSTITUTION: In a mold flux that is used in the continuous casting of a molten steel containing 0.08 to 0.17 wt.% of carbon, the mold flux comprises CaO 25 to 40 wt.%, SiO2 25 to 40 wt.%, Al2O3 3 to 8 wt.%, Na2O 3 to 13 wt.%, free carbon 3 to 10 wt.%, ZrO2 3 to 10 wt.% and incidental impurities.
