Formation process of Amorphous Calcium Carbonate which is made from a carbonation reaction in Ethanol-Ethylene Glycol system

PURPOSE: A method for preparing non-crystalline calcium carbonate and a post-treating method thereof are provided. CONSTITUTION: The non-crystalline calcium carbonate is prepared by reacting suspension, which is prepared by mixing a mixture solution of 90 vol.% of ethanol and 10 vol.% of ethylene glycol as solvent with calcium hydroxide to make the concentration of the calcium hydroxide less than 60 gram/liter, with CO2 gas. The post-treating method of the calcium carbonate is characterized by drying the prepared calcium carbonate in a vacuum drier and then storing it in a decompression desiccator.
