PURPOSE: Provided is a method for forming flower patterns on a hairpin by engraving the flower patterns on the back side of a hairpin plate with a trigonal pyramid-type engraving edge and dyeing. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of: engraving patterns with a shank having the trigonal pyramid-type engraving edge on the back side(6) of the hairpin plate(2) at an angle of 30-50 degree, wherein the engraving edge is rotated at 20,000-22,000rpm; permeating dye selectively into discharged chips(7) which are generated by engraving and stay on the pattern-engraved part(3) by friction heat between the hairpin plate(2) and the engraving edge.
