PURPOSE: A breaking device of reinforced glass is provided to let occupants in a vehicle urgently escape from the vehicle by breaking the reinforced glass installed on the sidewalls of a chassis. CONSTITUTION: A breaking device of reinforced glass comprises a case(1) combined to an upper chassis of a bus and having a guide groove(2) along the center, a central shaft(3) installed across the inside of the case, an operating bar(9) movably combined to the central shaft and having a head(10) for applying a shock to reinforced glass, an elastic body(8) wound on the outer face of the central shaft and combined to the operating bar to apply distortional elasticity in the downward rotational direction of the operating bar, and a stopper(11) movably formed on the upper center of the case to prevent the operating bar from lowering and to release the locking state of the operating bar. In an accident, occupants in a bus break the reinforced glass installed on the sidewall of a chassis with the breaking device. Therefore, occupants urgently escape from the bus.
