PURPOSE: A method for producing a stainless hot rolled steel sheet is provided to improve a hot-rolling processing property and to decrease a surface defect. CONSTITUTION: In producing a 304L stainless hot rolled steel sheet, a slab produced as a basic element of 304L stainless is re-heated at a weight rate and then is hot rolled. Herein, in producing the slab, 1.4 to 2.2% of silica is added up, and a re-heating temperature is kept by 1240°C. Accordingly, more than 90% of a hot-rolling processing property of the 304L stainless hot rolled steel sheet is secured.
