PURPOSE: A cooling system for transmission of test vehicle is provided to lower the temperature of transmission in a rapid manner, while avoiding space restriction for installation of cooling system. CONSTITUTION: A cooling system comprises gear boxes(3,3') connected to a transmission(1) through a driving shaft(4) and a connecting shaft(5); dynamometers(2,6) for operating gear boxes; and a cooling unit(10) which is controlled by a controller(7) having a built-in test control program for testing durability of the transmission. The cooling unit includes an air generating section(10a) for containing air to be directly injected to the transmission at a high pressure and speed, and which generates a pressure by the signal output from the controller; a control valve(10b) which is open/shut by the controller in such a manner as to control the flow of the air generated from the air generating unit; and a tube(10c) wound along the outer surface of the transmission so as to inject the air.
