APPRATUS FOR IMPROVING WATER-QUALITY OF RIVER

PURPOSE: An apparatus for improving water quality of stream is provided to improve water quality of stream water by increasing dissolved oxygen. The apparatus is characterized in that contact area of stream water and air is increased for improving dissolving rate of oxygen by using flow of stream water. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises the following parts: several floating balls(21) having many pits like golf ball, for increasing surface area; a floating part(31), for storing floating balls(21); and a part(41), installed in the interior of the floating part(31), for rising stream water to the interior of the floating part(31). Stream water in the floating part(31) contacts with air and floating balls(21) as stream water rises in the floating part. And microorganism is cultivated in many pits of floating balls(21). Therefore oxygen is dissolved into stream water, and treated biologically by microorganism of the floating balls(21). Surface of floating balls(21) is coated with TiO2, for photodecomposition contaminants of stream water.
