Traffic Monitoring Method Of Signaling Transfer Point In No.7 Signaling Network

PURPOSE: A method for measuring a traffic at an STP(Signaling Transfer Point) in a No.7 signaling network is provided to efficiently execute link management by measuring instantaneous traffics at regular intervals of time and reporting the maximum instantaneous traffic to an operator every traffic measuring time so that the operator can cope with the signaling traffic status of an SL(Signaling Link). CONSTITUTION: If a traffic measurement command for an SL is inputted from an operator, the signaling message processing part of a relevant STP drives the first and second traffic measuring timers(S41) and measures the signaling traffic of being processed through the SL(S42). Then the signaling message processing part confirms whether the first traffic measuring timer expires(S43). If the first traffic measuring timer expires, the signaling message processing part calculates and stores the instantaneous traffic for the first traffic measuring time(S44). Then the signaling message processing part drives the first traffic measuring timer again and returns to the first operation(S45). In this manner, the signaling message processing part obtains the instantaneous traffic by the first traffic measuring time. Then the signaling message processing part compares a newly calculated instantaneous traffic with a previously stored instantaneous traffic. In case that the new instantaneous traffic is larger than the previous one, the signaling message processing part updates the previous one into the new one(S46).
