PURPOSE: A dredging machine and a construction method using the same are provided to enable working at a closed space for long time, to simplify working process by discharging sludge without opening a road and to reduce a cost for dredging. CONSTITUTION: A construction using a dredging machine is performed by the following procedure. An impeller member(30) embedded in an impeller type high head dredging machine(100) is submerged under a polluted water in a closed space. The dredging machine sucks sludge by vacuum due to the rotation of the impeller member and discharges the sludge. The filthy water in the upper of the impeller is discharged and the space becomes in a vacuum state. The filthy water including sludge of the amount corresponding to the volume of the vacuum space is sucked up. By the repetition of the procedure, the sludge is discharged out of a culvert.
