PURPOSE: A method for processing billing information in a wireless packet data network is provided to minimize the loss of billing information and reduce a network load according to the transmission of maintenance billing information by transmitting start billing information and end billing information generated in a PDSN(Packet Data Serving Node) to a billing server through an IP(Internet Protocol) network, storing various maintenance billing information in a certain memory, and transmitting maintenance billing information stored in the memory to the billing server through the IP network when system fault is generated. CONSTITUTION: A control unit checks each device composed in a call process unit and the state of an entire system(ST21). The control unit confirms whether certain system fault information is provided from the call process unit, or transmits fault confirmation information to each PDSN per a certain period and confirms the state of the system on the basis of the reception of a response signal about fault confirmation information(ST22). The control unit stores maintenance billing information provided from the call process unit in a normal state in a billing information storing unit according to a subscriber(ST23,ST24). If fault is generated, the control unit transmits subscriber-classified maintenance billing information stored in the billing information storing unit to a billing server through a switching unit after the generated fault is recovered(ST25).
