PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To position a TAB tape with high precision and punch a high-precision punch hole. SOLUTION: The interval DH between the position of an IC chip 18 and a sorting position SP is determined and stored in advance with the position of the TAB tape detected by a position detecting device 11. For positioning the relevant IC chip 18 to the sorting position SP based on an inspection result, the TAB tape 1 is conveyed to a detection position by the position detecting device 11, and the TAB tape 1 is conveyed by the interval DH and stopped, thereby the high-precision positioning of the TAB tape 1 can be made.
