PURPOSE: A method for controlling an appropriate slag composition is provided to increase an actual yield of titanium in the VOD (vacuum oxygen decarburization) refining process and prevent clogging of the dipping nozzle in the continuous casting process. CONSTITUTION: In a method for manufacturing titanium (Ti) contained stainless steel by adding Ti after decarburizing by blowing oxygen in the VOD and then deoxidizing, the method for controlling a slag composition in the refining process of titanium contained stainless steel comprises the processes of maintaining a concentration (%) of SiO2 in slag to 5% or less by deoxidizing with Al so that a concentration of Al in molten steel becomes 0.05 to 0.15% after terminating the oxygen blowing; and injecting calcium oxide so that a ratio of (%CaO)/(%SiO2+%Al2O3) is in the range of 2.0 to 2.5.
