Method for producing molding with an aged unsaturated polyester resin mortar

PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing hardened products of unsaturated polyester-based polymer mortar, being packed with peel-off film and aged, used in construction field is provided, which enables longtime preserve of mortar, shortens hardening time, and improves workability and productivity. CONSTITUTION: The manufacturing method of hardened polymer mortar is as follows: packing a composition of polymer mortar with a peel-off film, where the mortar contains 100pts.wt. of polymeric liquid resin based on unsaturated polyester, and 300-1000pts wt. of inorganic fillers, being 1-100micrometer in size, such as CaCO3, SiO2 clay, talc, and Al(OH)3, and aggregates such as silica, fly ash, and sand; aging the packed composition at 40-50deg.C for 12-20hrs; removing the film; putting the aged mortar in a mold, and optionally putting the aged mortar between sheets of bulk molding compound(BMC) or sheet molding compound(SMC) containing hardening resin and reinforcing material to prevent lowering of physical property due to contact of hardened materials and water; heating and compressing.
