The present invention relates to a mobile phone with an alarm function, which is capable of generating an alarm sound (e.g., a sound of a siren), activating an emergency light, and processing a user's voice input through a microphone and sending the processed user's voice to a speaker. The mobile phone of the present invention includes an alarm sound generating button for requesting the generation of an alarm sound in case of emergency, and a microprocessor for generating an alarm sound generation control signal and an emergency light activation control signal when the alarm sound generating button is pushed, and generating a control signal to disply the counted number of heartbeats. Additionally, the mobile phone of the present invention includes an alarm sound generating unit for generating an alarm sound in response to the alarm sound generation control signal output from the microprocessor, a speaker for transmitting the generated alarm sound and a user's voice to the outside, and an emergency light unit for activating an emergency light in response to the emergency light control signal output from the microprocessor. In the mobile phone with an alarm function in accordance with the present invention, an alarm sound is automatically generated by only pushing an alarm sound generating button in case of emergency, thereby easily informing neighboring persons of an emergency. Additionally, the mobile phone of the present invention has an effect of visually informing neighboring persons of an emergency through an emergency light.
