METHOD TESTING AND DETERMINING AVERAGE LENGTH OF STALKS OF TREATED FLAX FIBERS AND THEIR SPREAD OVER TOP AND BUTT ENDS

FIELD: measurement and calculation of parameters of stalks. SUBSTANCE: test is carried out when layer of treated flax fibers moves by determination of its thickness in several points over width. Then collection of thickness values is divided into two similar groups. One group includes measurements near top ends of stalks, the other group includes measurements near butt ends. Each group is approximated by means of integral function of normal distribution law with subsequent calculation of average length of stalks and standard deviations by their top and butt ends. EFFECT: possibility of realization of test of most important structural parameters of layer during its movement that can be used in automation systems. 4 dwg, 3 tbl
