摘要

FIELD: remote detection of actual dielectric constant portion of investigated object. SUBSTANCE: nonpolarized noise radiation of sky in very-high-frequency band is used as plane electromagnetic wave source, vertically polarized component of electromagnetic field being received at Brewster angle from zenith direction; electric field amplitude received and Fresnel's formula are used to find amplitude of re-reflected electric field vertically polarized from lower level of oil film at oil-to-water interface ; amplitude of vertically polarized electric field re-reflected from lower level of oil film on oil-to- water-surface interface is measured and measured value of re-reflected vertically polarized electric field is compared with its calculated value; chosen value of εoil is varied within specified range at pitch of 0.1 until calculated and measured values are brought in alignment with desired accuracy, for instance 1%, εoil value obtained being assumed as sought quantity. EFFECT: provision for measuring actual portion of dielectric constant of oil film spilled over water surface under natural conditions. 1 dwg
