FIELD: oil producing industry. SUBSTANCE: method includes injection of gelling solution of polyacrylamide and acid into interval of water inflow to horizontal or inclined wells. Operations are begun from middle of water inflow interval and repeated as moving along interval of water inflow. In repeated injection as moving along interval of water inflow, concentration of gelling solution of polyacrylamide is increased by steps. Process holding is effected for gel formation. Producing interval of well is filled with acid and process is held under conditions of bath at pressure less than absorption pressure, and acid is displaced into formation. Well is washed with hydrocarbon fluid. EFFECT: higher efficiency of water inflow shutoff in horizontal and inclined wellbores of producing wells. 1 ex
