The pulverised coal delivery system has a fan and a temperature sensor in the output stream of fuel and carrier gas which controls the operation of hot and cold air volumes and the speed of rotation of the fan. The coal dust mill consists of a cutter wheel (1) to which coal (37) is delivered through a channel (30) and the pulverised coal dust is delivered to the furnace through a duct (6) in which is a temperature sensor (20) connected to a control unit (22). Hot air (38) from the burner, entered through an inlet (15), and cold air (39), through a duct (40), are controlled by flap valves (41,17). The valves and drive (18) for the cutter wheel are controlled by the control unit (22) to maintain the outlet temperature of the coal dust and carrier gas.
