Device for closing openings against entry of water or other liquid media comprises closure element with its circumferential section provided with at least one groove for inflatable sealing hose. The closure element comprising a circumferential section (23) with at least one groove (27) can be inserted into the opening to be closed. An inflatable sealing hose (29) consisting of a rubber-like material can be inserted into the groove (27). In inflated state the sealing hose protrudes from the groove (27, 31) and presses water-tight against the surface (19) bounding the opening. The lips (31, 33) seal the gaps (35, 37) between the closure element and the surface (19).
