Method for overlaying bundles of rays from single sources of light like laser diodes into a mapped spot of light uses an optical element cut with facets to align the rays in parallel outside a temporary image.
An optical element (6) cut with facets aligns rays in parallel contained in a part of bundles of rays emitted from single sources (D1-D5) of light/laser diodes and then maps these rays into a mapped spot of light (A). The single sources of light enlarge real or virtual temporary images (Z1-Z5). The rays are aligned in parallel outside a temporary image at a point, at which the bundles of rays emitted by the single sources of light are separated from each other. The bundles of rays transmitted by the laser diodes remain in a meridional direction unaffected by two cylindrical lenses (3,4) and strike against a circular mirror (5) that generates the temporary images enlarged by the laser diodes. An Independent claim is also included for a device for overlapping bundles of rays.
