The oil guide (6) for a motor vehicle gear selector slide has an angled cross section profile (38) with a support plate (39) and an oil guide plate (40) attached to the profile. The support plate has clip fitting noses (44) fitting into corresponding recesses (47,48) in the selector slide rail (2). The oil guide is formed of mould ed plastics.
