Process to apply a pattern to non-woven fabric by top-embroidered loop engaging with bottom-presented loop within fabric

In a process to apply a stitched pattern to felt or fleece, a section (1) of fabric is tautened flat on a large sewing machine bench. The pattern is created by the application of top-embroidered loop stitches (2), which interlink (3) with matching bottom-presented U-shaped embroidery stitches (4) originating from a bobbin. The pattern is formed esp. by two interlocking thread systems supported by the fleece fibre. The top stitches (2) are reinforced by a soutage packed surface stitch without detriment to the pattern.
