Aqueous multi-component system, contains at least one binder containing saturated, unsaturated, and/or grafted with olefinically unsaturated compounds ionically and/or nonionically stabilized polyurethane, and crosslinking agent
The use of an aqueous two- or multi-component system containing at least one binder component containing at least one saturated, unsaturated, and/or grafted with olefinically unsaturated compounds ionically and/or nonionically stabilized polyurethane, and at least one crosslinking agent containing at least one polyisocyanate. The use of an aqueous two- or multi-component system containing (A) at least one binder component containing at least one saturated, unsaturated, and/or grafted with olefinically unsaturated compounds ionically and/or nonionically stabilized polyurethane and (B) at least one crosslinking agent containing at least one polyisocyanate, for hindering color shade shift and/or effect shift as between the basic coat of an original paint coating and the base coat in paint repair of color and/or effect producing multi-layer coating. An Independent claim is included for repairing a color or effect multilayer coating in which: (1) the original paint is coated by an integrated wet-on-wet process, in which 1.1 at least one waterborne filler is applied to the primed or unprimed substrate, 1.2 the resultant waterborne filler layer is dried, 1.3 the dried filler layer is overcoated with waterborne paint, 1.4 the resultant waterborne layer is dried with incomplete curing, 1.5 the dried waterborne coating is overcoated with at least one clear coat, 1.6 the resultant clear coat layer and the other layers are simultaneously cured with thermal or thermal plus actinic radiation; and (2) the repaired layers are subjected to treatment by a wet-on-wet process in which: (a) at least one waterborne primer paint is applied to the original paint; (b) the waterborne paint is dried without complete curing, the dried waterborne layer is painted over with a clear coat; (c) the resultant clear coat layer is cured simultaneously with actinic and thermal, or with actinic radiation alone, where at least one waterborne filler is used, containing a binder A and a crosslinking agent B as above.
