A pig slaughterhouse steam scalding condensation tunnel has one or more air circulation conduits (10) which enter esp. sideways into a bottom channel (12). The bottom channel has a position-adjustable air-flow guide baffle panel (14). The panel distributes incoming air along a length of the channel which is greater than the length of the air egress (36) from the air conduit (10). The steam condensation tunnel (2) has a scalding zone (100) through which the slaughtered animals (28) are transported by an overhead conveyer. The tunnel bottom has a condensation trough trap with a water drain (2). The air conduit inlets are in the upper tunnel (34) and the air outlets (36) at the base. Air is circulated through the conduits by a blower (28).
