Coding method for transmission of speech signals uses analysis-through-synthesis method with adaption of amplification factor for excitation signal generator

The coding method uses an analysis-through-synthesis method, in which the original speech signal is compared with a synthetic speech signal (11), obtained from an excitation signal (12) via a synthesis filter, e.g. a linear predictive coding synthesis filter, with classification of each speech signal section and adaption of an amplification factor of the excitation generator for error minimization. An Independent claim for a speech signal transmission method is also included.
