Packer for covering the transition region between a main waste water pipe and a connecting house pipe opening into the main pipe comprises a supporting pipe (10) with an extending casing made from elastic material arranged around its periphery. The casing has an approximately cylindrical attachment (20) made from elastic material for the connecting house pipe. The supporting pipe is double-walled with the inner wall (11) having a universal design and the outer wall (14) being formed from the cylindrical casing of elastic material which together with the supporting pipe forms a first medium-density extending chamber (5). The cylindrical attachment arranged on the cylindrical casing forms a second medium-density extending chamber (25).
