Catalytic production of alkylates involves addition of isoparaffin and zeolite suspension, with addition of isoparaffin-olefin mixture below suspension feed within specific temperature range
Catalytic production of an alkylate involves addition of a suspension comprising a 4-6C isoparaffin and a particulate zeolite catalyst to the upper region of a reaction column with addition of an isoparaffin-2-6C olefin mixture into the column at below the suspension feed port. The temperature of the reaction column is 50-120 deg C. A process for the catalytic reaction of at least one 4-6C isoparaffin with at least one 2-6C olefin in the liquid phase to form an alkylate containing product involves addition of a suspension comprising an isoparaffin and a particulate zeolite catalyst to the upper region of a reaction column with addition of an isoparaffin-olefin mixture into the column at below the suspension feed port. The temperature of the reaction column is 50-120 deg C and an alkylate-containing product is removed from the sump of the column using distillative separation to recover an alkylate product.
