A hard attachment point on a sandwich sheet (12) consists of a large sleeve (13), which has at least four segments so that it can be collapsed into a roughly triangular section, a metallic sleeve (30) with a screw thread, and a small sleeve (40), which fills the space between the large (13) and the metallic (30) sleeve. An Independent claim is also included for the process of fitting the attachment point by first drilling a hole in the sandwich plate (12). The large sleeve (13) is coated with adhesive, inserted in a collapsed state and expanded with a mandrel to fit into the hole. The screwed metallic sleeve (30) is then temporarily attached (32) to the large sleeve (13), after which the small sleeve (40) is inserted to fill the gap. The small sleeve (40) is coated with excess adhesive paste, which emerges at the ends and is trimmed to be flush.
